THE GATE OF SPIRITUAL JUDGMENT
Dan means “judge,” and this gate calls forth the power of discernment. This is not earthly judgment, but divine seeing—a vision that cuts through illusion and reveals the truth within.

Krishna, as the Outer Priest, represents divine justice paired with supreme love. As the charioteer in the Bhagavad Gita, he leads Arjuna into righteous action and inner clarity. He speaks the eternal law (Dharma) from within the battlefield of life.

“Whenever there is a decline in righteousness… I manifest Myself.” — Bhagavad Gita 4:7

▶︎ Revelation Tie-In: “The books were opened… and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books.” — Revelation 20:12

STATION 5 — THE GATE OF DAN
The chariot paused at the edge of war. The soul trembled. “I see only death,” it said. But Krishna smiled: “See with other eyes.”

And the Gate of Dan opened—
Not through conquest, but through inner clarity.
Not by force, but by vision.

▶︎ Revelation Tie-In: “And in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” — Revelation 19:11

QUALITIES NEEDED: DISCERNMENT AND SILENCE
This gate cannot be entered through noise. It opens in silence. In listening. In inner stillness.

“Be still and know.” — Psalm 46:10
“The wise see knowledge in action, and action in knowledge.” — Bhagavad Gita 4:18

To judge is not to condemn, but to see clearly.

INNER REQUIREMENT: ALIGNMENT WITH THE INNER LAW
The initiate must know their own soul’s dharma. Not borrowed commandments, but inner law written by the Spirit.

“I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them.” — Hebrews 10:16

The Gate of Dan opens to those who walk their own truth in harmony with the Divine.

GNOSTIC PARALLEL: THE SERPENT OF WISDOM
In some Gnostic streams, the serpent is not the tempter, but the bringer of wisdom. Dan is likened to a serpent by the way, a symbol of hidden discernment and awakening.

“Be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” — Matthew 10:16

▶︎ Revelation Tie-In: “To him that overcometh will I give power over the nations.” — Revelation 2:26

WHAT TO BRING: YOUR INNER VISION
Bring your questions. Bring your contradictions. Bring your soul to the seat of discernment.

“Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” — John 7:24

To pass this gate is to awaken the third eye of the heart.

MELCHIZEDEKIAN INSIGHT: THE PRIESTHOOD OF WISDOM AND RIGHT ACTION
The inner priests of Dan reveal the higher judgment that arises from divine union:

  • Yogananda — who spoke of Christ Consciousness and the inner path.
  • Ramana Maharshi — who taught the method of self-inquiry as the path to Truth.
  • Hermes Trismegistus — the master of Hermetic wisdom, bridging the divine and the material.
  • Hilarion — the priest-scientist, whose discernment unites reason and revelation.

These are not judges in the worldly sense, but revealers of the soul’s true measure.

▶︎ Revelation Tie-In: “And he that sat upon the throne said… I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” — Revelation 21:6

CONTEMPLATIVE REFLECTIONS

  • Where have I judged blindly, and where have I seen with Spirit?
  • Do I know the law written in my own heart?
  • Am I willing to see, even if it changes me?

PRAYER FOR PASSING THROUGH THE FIFTH GATE
O Revealer of Truth,
I come to the Gate of Dan.
Not to judge others, but to see rightly.
Open my inner eye.
Speak to me from the seat of stillness.
Let me act with justice and walk with humility.
Make me a vessel of sacred discernment.
Amen.

THE EYE OF THE SOUL
Dan does not ask for loudness or might. It asks for clarity. The clear eye. The still hand. The grounded soul.

This is the Gate of the Serpent Judge.
Not to condemn, but to illuminate.
To pass is to see the battle, and yet choose peace.
To stand in your dharma, and shine.
