Revelation Chapter 10 — For Children and the Child Within
John looked up again, and his eyes grew wide.
A mighty angel came down from Heaven.
He was wrapped in a cloud
and had a rainbow over his head.
His face shone like the sun,
and his legs were like fiery pillars.
In his hand, he held a little scroll—
small enough to hold… but big with mystery.
The angel stood with one foot on the sea
and one foot on the land—
as if saying,
“This message is for the whole world.”
Then he raised his hand to the sky
and made a promise in the name of the One who lives forever.
He said:
“There will be no more delay!
The mystery of God is almost finished.
Soon it will be told—just as the prophets said it would be!”
Then a voice came from Heaven—
the same voice that had spoken to John before.
It said:
“John, go to the angel… and take the little scroll.”
John walked up to the mighty angel,
who smiled and handed it to him.
“Take it and eat it,” the angel said.
“It will taste sweet like honey…
but it may feel bitter in your belly.”
So John took the scroll
and placed it in his mouth—
and just like the angel said,
it tasted like the sweetest honey!
But soon, his belly began to ache—
not with pain, but with a heavy feeling.
It was the weight of truth.
The scroll carried messages that were beautiful…
but also serious and strong.
Then the voice spoke again:
“You must keep sharing what you see.
Tell it to people everywhere—
about nations and kings,
about many lands and tongues.
Let the Light be known.”
And John held the feeling deep inside—
the sweet truth of God’s love,
and the deep ache of what must be healed.
This was not just a story to be read…
It was a truth to be tasted,
a path to be walked,
and a message to be shared.
