Revelation 5 – The Scroll and the Little Lamb ✧

Revelation Chapter 5 — For Children and the Child Within

John was still in the heavenly room,
standing before the glowing Throne,
surrounded by songs and light and holy colors.

But then he noticed something new…
In the hand of the One who sat on the Throne
was a scroll.

It was rolled up tight
and tied with seven special seals.

This scroll was no ordinary paper.
It held a secret.
It told the story of everything—
the beginning, the middle, and the forever.

A mighty angel called out like thunder:

“Who is worthy to open the scroll?
Who can break its seven seals?”

But no one came forward.
Not from the sky,
not from the land,
not from the sea.
No one.

John felt tears well up in his eyes.
He began to cry,
because if the scroll stayed closed,
how could the world be healed?

But then…
one of the elders smiled and gently said:

“Don’t cry, dear one.
Look! The Lion of Judah has won!
He can open the scroll.”

John looked up, expecting a roaring lion…

…but what he saw was a Lamb.

A little Lamb.
But this Lamb was shining with divine light.
It had been hurt before,
but now it stood tall and strong—
with seven eyes of wisdom
and seven horns of holy power.

It walked right up to the Throne
and took the scroll in its gentle hoof.

And when the Lamb took the scroll,
all of Heaven burst into song!

The elders fell down with harps and golden bowls of sweet-smelling prayers.

They sang:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was gentle and brave,
who gave His life to bring love to all.
With His light, He has gathered people from every land,
every language, every tribe,
and made them part of God’s forever family!”

Then thousands and thousands of angels
appeared like a sea of stars!

And they sang:

“Worthy is the Lamb,
to receive power and wisdom,
riches and strength,
honor, glory, and blessing!”

And every creature—on the earth, in the sky, and under the sea—
joined in with one big voice:

“To the One on the Throne, and to the Lamb,
be blessing, and honor, and glory, forever and ever!”

John stood very still,
his tears now turned to joy.
He knew deep inside:

The scroll would be opened.
The story would be told.
And Love would win.
