Revelation Chapter 7 — For Children and the Child Within
John had seen many wonders:
a Lamb who opened a scroll,
horses that rode with messages,
and a sky that sang.
But just as the world began to tremble…
everything paused.
The wind stopped.
The earth held its breath.
And four angels stood at the corners of the world,
keeping peace until a very special moment could happen.
Then another angel appeared,
carrying something brighter than gold—
the Seal of the Living God.
He called out with a loud voice:
“Wait! Do not harm anything yet!
Not until we have placed God’s mark upon those who shine with His Light!”
And then John saw them—
a great crowd of people from the twelve tribes of Israel,
144,000 souls, sealed with the Spirit of God.
They were not sealed with ink or fire—
but with light upon their foreheads,
like a gentle flame that said,
“This one belongs to Heaven.”
But that wasn’t all.
Suddenly, John looked again—
and saw a crowd too big to count!
People from every land,
every color, every language,
wearing white robes,
holding palm branches,
and singing the most beautiful song:
“Salvation belongs to our God and to the Lamb!”
The angels fell to their knees.
The elders bowed low.
And all of Heaven echoed the joy:
“Amen!
Blessing and glory,
wisdom and thanksgiving,
honor and power
belong to our God forever!”
Then one of the elders turned to John and asked,
“Do you know who these shining ones are?”
John shook his head gently,
and the elder smiled.
“These are the ones who walked through the storms,
but kept their robes white.
They washed their hearts in the Lamb’s love,
and now they live before the Throne,
serving day and night in God’s temple.”
And then John saw something so tender:
The One on the Throne leaned close to the crowd—
and wiped away every tear from their eyes.
There would be no more hunger,
no more thirst,
no more sadness,
no more pain.
The Lamb would be their shepherd.
And He would lead them to the river of life,
where they would drink from joy forever.
