Revelation 8 – The Silence Before the Song ✧

Revelation Chapter 8 — For Children and the Child Within

John’s heart was still glowing from the great vision.
He had seen the people of the Light,
marked with love and gathered in joy.

Then the Lamb reached out His hoof again…
and opened the seventh seal.

But instead of thunder or music—
everything became silent.

For a whole moment in Heaven—
there was no sound.

No harps, no voices,
no wings fluttering,
no whispers of angels.

Just silence.
The kind of silence that feels full,
like the pause before something beautiful begins.

Then John saw seven angels step forward.
Each one held a shining trumpet.
They stood tall and still,
waiting for their time to play.

But first, another angel came forward—
holding a golden bowl filled with sweet-smelling smoke.

This smoke was special.
It was made from the prayers of all the saints
the quiet wishes, whispered hopes, and holy songs
that people had lifted up to God from every part of the world.

The angel brought the bowl to the altar of Heaven,
and the prayers rose like mist into the sky.

Then he took fire from the altar,
and cast it down to the earth—
and the silence was broken.

Suddenly there was a great shaking—
like the sky had clapped its hands.
Flashes of lightning,
rumbles of thunder,
and a tremble that danced across the mountains and seas.

Then the seven trumpet angels lifted their horns…

And so began a new part of the story—
not just of what was,
but of what must be healed,
and how Light would return to the hidden places.
