(Gate 5 — Dan: Walk Justly, and the Way Shall Guard You)
Eliah descended from the hill of singing, his harp now glowing faintly with the sound of praise.
But the path ahead was not smooth. The air turned cool. The road bent sharply through a forest of deep blue shadows.
Here, the world seemed to whisper warnings.
“What if you get lost?”
“What if you turn the wrong way?”
“What if you’re not worthy?”
Eliah paused. Doubt clung to his shoulders like vines.
That’s when he saw her.
A tall woman cloaked in silver, holding a staff of carved wood. Her eyes shone like twin moons.
“I am Dan,” she said. “Guardian of the Fifth Gate—the Gate of the Path.”
She touched the earth with her staff, and the ground beneath Eliah’s feet shimmered. A pattern appeared: glowing footprints made of starlight.
“These are the Steps of the Just,” she said.
“When you walk with truth, your path is protected. When your heart stays upright, the way reveals itself.”
Eliah looked down the forest trail. “But what if I’m afraid to make a mistake?”
Dan smiled gently.
“The path is not about being perfect. It is about being honest. When you walk with justice, even your stumbles become wisdom.”
She handed him a small stone, shaped like a scale—perfectly balanced. “Keep this near your heart,” she said. “Let it remind you to weigh your choices in light and love.”
Just then, a great Gate of mist and stars appeared before them. Words lit up across its arch:
“Gate 5 — Dan: The Just Walk in Light, and the Light Watches Over Them.”
Eliah stepped forward.
As he did, the path behind him sealed like water closing, and the one before him opened wider, glowing with each step.
He understood now:
Every choice was a step.
Every step was a prayer.
And justice was the secret map that always led home.
To be continued…
